PureAcoustic Piano Modeling
When you play an acoustic piano, a lot of physical interactions take place, such as pressing the keys, hitting the hammers on the strings, vibrating the strings and sound box, what notes you play, and how you use the pedals. All of these interactions allow the pianist to hear exactly what is going on inside the acoustic piano. The Roland LX700 series' PureAcousting Piano Modeling technology uses 2 powerful Behavioural modeling chips that attempt to mimic similar communication between pianist and piano. What's more, this mimicry is done in real time, so the modeling chips respond immediately to how you play the piano.
Hybrid Grand keyboard & Progressive Damper Action Pedals
The Hybrid Grand keyboard of the Roland LX708 has longer keys so the tilt point is further back, like a grand piano. This gives you more control and a better response at the touch. The keys are a combination of wood and plastic. This replicates the playing feel of an acoustic piano well, but at the same time the use of plastic ensures good durability. The keyboard is equipped with an escapement (let-off) mechanism, as in a real acoustic piano. The keys have the look and feel of real ebony and ivory. The key pad is moisture-absorbent, which makes it harder for your fingers to slip off and will lower the error rate.
The LX708 is equipped with Progressive Damper Action Pedal technology, which means you experience limited resistance when you push the pedals in lightly and more resistance as you push the pedals in further, just like an acoustic piano. This makes half-pedal techniques easier and gives you as a pianist much more control over dynamics and musicality.
Powerful Speaker System with Acoustic Projection
The Roland LX708 features the best Acoustic Projection System in the series, with a 4-way setup with eight speakers, powered by a powerful amplifier. The eight speakers are divided into four pairs, with each pair optimized for superior sound reproduction throughout the dynamic range of the piano.
Sampling
All models of the Roland LX700 series are equipped with the sample of both a European and American concert grand piano. The European piano sound has a richer and deeper character, while the American piano sound offers more clarity. Through the Piano Designer, you can also customize the sound completely to your liking and save it to the piano's memory. In addition, the LX models offer a variety of additional sounds, such as electric pianos, organs, strings and drum sounds.
Bluetooth connectivity and Piano Everyday app
The Roland LX708 can be connected wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet via the Bluetooth Audio feature. This way you can play along with your favorite songs yourself, improve your piano skills through online tutorials and even use the piano as a home entertainment audio system.
Via the Bluetooth MIDI function you can use the Roland Piano Everyday app, which allows you to download electronic scores, rehearse your favorite songs and track your daily progress in the app. This makes for a fine learning experience and motivates you to keep learning new things.
