Responsive Hammer III keyboard with Ivory Touch
The ES-920 features the Responsive Hammer III keyboard with 88 graded, weighted keys. The keyboard includes an escapement (let-off) mechanism, just like an acoustic piano. Thanks to precise 3-sensor technology, pianists can expect a very natural playing feel. In addition, this model offers Ivory Touch key surfaces that support your playing and absorb finger perspiration.
Shigeru Kawai samples & Harmonic Imaging XL (HI-XL) technology
The ES-920 includes beautiful samples of the world-renowned Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, played in many concert halls worldwide and often chosen by professional pianists. With Kawai’s Harmonic Imaging XL sound technology, the tones of all 88 keys are reproduced with remarkable detail and purity. By sampling each key individually, the character of the acoustic grand piano is faithfully preserved. Thanks to the extended sample memory in HI-XL, the sustain of individual notes is increased by 120 %.
Wide selection of sounds and accompaniment styles
Beyond realistic acoustic piano voices, the ES-920 offers a broad selection of 38 sounds—such as E-piano, Hammond or church organ, strings, and choir—enabling varied playing across many genres. The Rhythm section also provides 100 accompaniment styles (pop, rock, jazz, funk, latin, …) that make the playing experience even more engaging.
Real-time 4-band EQ faders
The ES-920 provides extensive tone-shaping via flexible controls for Reverb, Effects, and Amp Simulator. For live players, the addition of four real-time EQ faders on the top panel is especially convenient, allowing quick adjustments to the room or fast frequency boosts.
Bluetooth MIDI and audio connectivity
The ES-920 features integrated Bluetooth MIDI and audio technologies, allowing the instrument to communicate wirelessly with supported smart devices. Pair it with a smartphone, tablet, or laptop to use a wide range of interactive apps or to stream audio from platforms like YouTube or Spotify. You can also connect to Kawai’s PianoRemote app to adjust settings and sounds via an intuitive interface. The ES-920 is also compatible with the PiaBookPlayer app, which lets you view scores and listen to numerous classical works through the instrument’s speakers.
Accessories
The ES-920 can optionally be configured as a full-fledged digital piano with the HM-5 stand and the F-302 triple pedal.
